During her time there, she won the Inaugural Pitch Competition and Coastal Venture Competition for her innovative concepts and motives. Jessica Wofford

Director of Operations

Jessica returned to the Mobile area in 2005 upon completing her studies in Psychology at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. She is a native of the Eastern Shore where she now lives in Spanish Fort with her husband Bill and their two beautiful children.

Jessica comes to us from CityHope Church where she played various roles in administration, volunteer team leading, and event planning for the last 8 years. Jessica and Bill have been active participants of CityHope Church for the last 20 years where they are volunteers and youth mentors. They are also involved in other community outreach opportunities on the Eastern Shore.

Her passion for growing next generation leaders and community involvement make her an automatic fit for Fuse Project.

Evey Owen

Director of Communication

Nonprofit communication has always been a passion of Evey’s. She recently moved back to her hometown of Mobile after living in Montgomery for the past five years. While there she worked with several statewide nonprofits before landing at Alabama Children First and developing a love for children’s services.

Evey attended Troy University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism with minors in Public Relations and Sports Information. She earned her Master’s degree in Communication from the University of South Alabama. While she was also a graduate assistant, she most enjoyed being a tutor to the school’s athletes. She learned firsthand the effects that a “good or bad” foundation can have on a child’s life as they make their way into adulthood.

Evey joined Fuse Project as Director of Communication in September 2017. She hopes to bring more light to the important work that Fuse does to positively impact the lives of children in the bay area.
