Lip Sync Battle: 2022 Recap & 2023 Date Announcement

The 2nd annual Fuse Project Lip Sync Battle presented by Infirmary Health held on February 3, 2022, was a huge success! Our evening full of fun and entertainment brought in $43,486 for The Historic Avenue Foundation and the launch of our K3 program in the Avenue community!

The evening featured a panel of “celebrity” judges, Maggie Smith (aka Mystic Marge) - Co-Owner of Soul Kitchen; Jacob Rowe - Artistic & Executive Director, The PACT Theatre Company; and Josh Daigrepont - House Engineer, Dauphin Street Sound. Our very own Planning and Development Manager, Mary Frances Clarke, emceed the evening’s festivities which featured special entertainment by our friends at Dance Without Limits, Gulf Coast Dance Alliance, The Mobile Ballet, The PACT Theatre Company, Blow House Brass Band, the Mobile Kappa League, and the one and only Champagne Munroe!

Year two of this unique team competition brought back a few veteran competitors and several newbies. Teams included Order of Fuse, Mobile Police Department, defending champions - iHeart Radio, Infirmary Health, Gulf Orthopaedics, Salon West, Battleship Women’s Rugby, and last but certainly not least, the 2022 winner - Educator Gang!

This year’s event was one for the books, we certainly couldn’t have made it the success it was without all our volunteers, donors, attendees, and sponsors. And now, we are already focusing on planning for the 3rd annual Lip Sync Battle to be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023! Be sure to mark your calendars now because you won’t want to miss what we have in store for year three!
