100 MENTORS for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama is the largest mentoring organization in South Alabama.  Its mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.  Fuse Project needs your help to provide funding to recruit, screen, train, create and support 100 new matches of “Littles” and “Bigs”.

Evening Alternative Program at MCPSS – Palmer Pillans Middle School

Fuse Project is supporting Mobile and Baldwin County School systems through an after-school program.  This program is proven to improve a middle school’s graduation rates, lower suspension rates, and improve school morale.  In 2015, Palmer Pillans Middle School received funding through the FUSE Initiative (a partnership with the Community Foundation of South Alabama), and is already seeing student’s life path changing for the better.

Prichard Prep Expansion

Prichard Preparatory School was founded in 2005 and provides top quality education to children in low-income areas.  Prichard Prep offers the choice of private school to parents at a highly discounted, affordable tuition rate.  The school will outgrow its classrooms next school year and needs to reconstruct parts of the second building in preparation.  Fuse Project would help with funding for this endeavor.

Soccer for Inner City Kids

Soccer4Life’s founder is Zenzo Ndlovu, Coach Z, who came to the University of Mobile from his native Zimbabwe on a soccer scholarship in 2000.   After graduating, Coach Z accepted as his life’s mission to use his soccer skills to bring discipline, faith, respect for self and others, and an emphasis on education to at-risk inner city children.  Soccer4Life currently provides fall, winter, spring and summer soccer programs with some 60-70 children in each program.  Fuse Project will help funding for insurance, assistant coaches, transportation and equipment.
