A CLEARER VISION FOR THE FUTUREOver the past several months, Fuse Project has been engaged in a strategic planning process designed to sharpen our focus and strengthen our impact. Following a board retreat last December, where we reflected on our growth, discussed future opportunities, and explored the next chapter of our work, we partnered with Peritus Public Relations to help clarify the vision that guides everything we do. The result is a renewed North Star for our organization that our staff and board co-created with guidance from the Peritus team. Vision: Every child deserves an opportunity to succeed, regardless of their ZIP code. Mission: Fuse Project sparks opportunity for children by expanding access to education, wellness, and housing. You'll begin seeing this messaging reflected throughout our website, publications, and programs. It also introduces a simple way to understand our work: Inside the classroom. Outside the classroom. At home. We believe children thrive when they have access to educational opportunities, meaningful wellness experiences, and stable housing. Together, these three focus areas help create the conditions for long-term success. That commitment to housing recently reached several exciting milestones. Last year, Fuse Project became a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), expanding our ability to help create housing solutions that support children and families. Today, that work is taking shape through developments such as Hurtel Crossings, a 56-unit affordable housing community currently moving toward construction, and Anchor Place, the first development in Mobile to be awarded a Workforce Housing Tax Credit. Projects like Hurtel Crossings and Anchor Place help ensure families have access to quality housing, stronger neighborhoods, and the resources they need to thrive.
